My Constant

"The grass withers, the wildflowers fade, if God so much as breathes on them. Aren't these people just so much as grass? True, the grass withers and the wildflowers fade, but our God's Word stands firm and forever."

Isaiah 40:7-8

Know this:

The Sovereign LORD is coming in power. He will rule with a powerful arm. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes. He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. Isaiah 40:10-11.

He will carry US in his arms, close to HIS heart.

He holds the world in His hands. He holds OUR world in HIS hands!

The only thing in this world that is constant is God. Everything comes and goes. We come and go. The plants come and go. Buildings come and go. Styles come and go.

See? God is it. He IS here today, tomorrow, next week, forever. Rely on Him. He NEVER changes.

He is my constant.

The King is Coming

"I'm on my way; I'll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown." Revelation 3:11 MSG

This really stuck with me today. It made me fall in love with my Abba all over again.

"I'm on my way; I'll be there soon." These words are from God through Jesus written out into Revelation. I don't feel that any earthly words could be more comforting than that.

As my pastor, Chris Hodges, has said before all the signs of the end of the world nearing have been completed. He is coming! It makes me thing of the song that my youth group used to sing by Crystal Lewis, People get ready, Jesus is coming.

The lyrics of the chorus are:

"People get ready, Jesus is coming,
Soon we'll be going home.
People get ready Jesus is coming,
To take from the world His own."


WE ARE HIS! He is taking us out of this world to His home, OUR HOME, heaven.

He is on His way; He'll be here soon.
